These are pictures from an MRI taken July 2004

You have permission to save a copy of the picture to use with your students to show them what a brain looks like, what a brain with MS looks like, or spinal cord images. They are for educational use only. Nobody has permission to use an image on their own website or in any media that they plan to sell. If you know me personally and choose to show any of these pictures to your students, please do not identify me as their owner. As they are, there should be no identification label on the pics other than their file name.

I'm putting the pics up here for eductional use ONLY. I think the pics look fascinating and expect that students will find them to be pretty cool, too. If you can inspire someone to want to go to med school or into research so other people don't have to put up with the B.S. of having MS, that would be great. Nobody should have to go through this mess. I don't even wish it on my "worst enemies."

MRI: June 2006

I do not understand the MRI process well enough to explain these images. I believe the contrasting was done differently than the July 2004 pictures; one can not make an exact comparison. So...these are more images that prove I have a brain. They also prove that I do have MS even though I look fine on the surface.

As always, these are for educational purposes, not for profit. You may not use any of them in any way that allows you to have monetary gain.

Clicking on the thumbnails should allow you to see a larger image. The clarity of the images is not due to your computer or mine- for some reason this set of images did not come out really clean.

MRI September 2010

New to me is the ability to make mini-videos of the images. These thumbnails will either link to a larger image or to a video.

I made a short video with the images using Camtasia. Although the video is short, the file is huge so it may take a while to load, if it does at all.

The video being hosted at screencast: (Temporarily removed)
